Description:

The word "Phoenix" for me has always been a metaphor for rebirth. Not unlike the mythic bird, the image of something flying for its own ashes is not unlike art. Art is ultimately an act of transformation and rebirth. Things such as pencils and pens become the raw materials for something that is greater than the sum of its parts.
